Sully’s Cider & The Old Cheese Factory
The Old Cheese Factory at Reidsdale (16kms from Braidwood) is run by the Watkins-Sully Family (yes they are related – but don’t tell anyone)! The family has set themselves the task of “championing local produce and producers in the Braidwood area,” the results of which can be sampled at lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday 12:00 – 3:00
This can all be washed down with a glass or two of Sully’s Farmhouse Cider, from the best selection of traditional ciders this side of Somerset! (Make sure you have a designated driver)
After lunch or dinner, you can browse the local produce shop which stocks a selection of “Braidwood Made” pickles, preserves, chutneys, fresh eggs (goose, duck and Chicken), Organically growns potatoes and other farm produce as well as organic preservative free apple juice and traditional ciders to take away.
Follow the Araluen Rd out of Braidwood and turn left at the sign that points to the Monga National Park and The Old Cheese Factory - Turn right at the T intersection and you’re nearly there! (15 minutes)
The best thing is that you can loop through the Monga Road and come out right at the top of Clyde Mountain on the Kings Highway without doubling back – it’s a great round trip to the coast!

The platter was a treat and the lamb stew with rhubarb awesome! Don’t have more than one glass of the sparkling cider if you’re driving – I thought I was back in the winding lanes of Somerset until my partner assured me it was a straight road!!
